ICS to CSV Converter
Inspect calendar events in a spreadsheet or map a CSV/XLSX schedule into an ICS file, with a preview before export.
Files are read by your browser. Calendar data is never uploaded to ToolsWebPro.
1. Add your .ics calendar
Exported from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar or any iCal feed
Loaded: sample-calendar.ics · calendar "Family calendar" · 3 events
2. Dates, times and time zone
Google Calendar exports timed events in UTC (times ending in Z). Converting them to your own time zone is what stops a 4 PM meeting from showing up as 11:00 in Excel. All-day events keep their dates in every time zone.
3. Choose columns
4. Preview and download
3 events · 10 columns

Output and limitations
Choose the conversion direction
ICS to CSV reads a calendar file for spreadsheet review. CSV/Excel to ICS maps an event list to calendar fields. In either direction, inspect the selected columns, dates and time zone before exporting.
Understand recurring and all-day events
A recurring ICS series is represented by its event record and recurrence rule, not an expanded attendance or time-billing row for every occurrence. All-day dates and timed events have different meanings. Do not assume that a CSV roundtrip preserves every calendar behavior.
Preview dates across time zones
Choose the intended date order and time zone explicitly. A value such as 03/04/2026 is ambiguous without that choice. Review examples around daylight-saving changes and verify a small imported sample in the destination calendar before a large migration.
Privacy and processing
Calendar privacy: the .ics or spreadsheet is read by JavaScript in your browser and the converted file is created on your device. ToolsWebPro never uploads, stores or sees your event titles, locations, attendees or notes.
How to use ICS to CSV Converter
- 1Pick a direction: ICS → CSV to open a calendar in Excel, or CSV / Excel → ICS to turn a sheet of events into a calendar file.
- 2ICS → CSV: upload or paste the .ics, choose the time zone to show times in (your device's zone by default), a date format, a time format and the columns you want. Use the Excel-friendly or Google Calendar CSV preset if you're unsure.
- 3CSV → ICS: upload a .csv or .xlsx, check the column mapping, set the date order and the time zone the sheet is written in, and read the skipped-rows report.
- 4Download the CSV or .ics. Excel opens the CSV directly; Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar and iPhone import the .ics.
What you can do
Reads real-world ICS files
Joins folded lines, unescapes commas, semicolons and line breaks, ignores reminder (VALARM) text, and reads DTSTART/DTEND or DURATION in UTC, floating, all-day and TZID form, including Outlook's Windows zone names such as Pakistan Standard Time.
Time zone conversion
Converts every timed event to the zone you choose using your browser's time zone database, so Google's UTC exports don't come out hours off. Or keep each time exactly as written.
All-day and recurring events
All-day end dates are shown as the real last day (ICS stores the day after). Repeat rules are kept as RRULE text and explained in plain English, such as Weekly on Monday, 10 times.
Excel-friendly CSV
UTF-8 with a byte-order mark for Urdu and accented text, ISO dates that every Excel region reads, comma, semicolon or tab separators, and a guard against cells being run as formulas.
Column choice
Subject, dates, times, all-day flag, location, description, time zone, repeat rule, excluded dates, status, organizer, attendees, categories, URL, private flag and UID, with presets for Excel and for Google Calendar's CSV import layout.
CSV and Excel to ICS
Reads .csv and .xlsx, matches Google Calendar and Outlook headers automatically, understands 10/14/2026, 14/10/2026, 2026-10-14, Oct 14 2026 and Excel date numbers, and treats rows without times as all-day events.
Standards-based output
Writes RFC 5545 iCalendar with a UID and DTSTAMP for every event, escaped text, CRLF line endings and lines folded at 75 bytes without breaking Urdu characters.
Row-level report
Lists every skipped row (unreadable date or time, end before start) and every note (missing title, assumed length, unclear day/month order) with its spreadsheet row number.

About ICS to CSV Converter
ToolsWebPro ICS to CSV Converter moves calendar data between the two formats people actually use: .ics files, which every calendar app exports and imports, and spreadsheets. An .ics file is plain text, but it isn't friendly to read. Long lines are folded, commas are escaped, and Google Calendar writes timed events in UTC, so a converter that just copies the text gives you times that are hours off and all-day events that seem to end a day late. This tool reads the file the way a calendar app does: it resolves each time zone, including Outlook's Windows zone names, converts the times to the zone you choose, shows the real last day of all-day events, and writes repeat rules out in plain English. The CSV is saved so Excel opens it with the right characters and dates. The reverse direction takes a CSV or .xlsx list, matches columns named like Google Calendar's and Outlook's CSV layouts, and builds a standard .ics with a UID and timestamp for each event, written in UTC so every app shows the right moment. Rows it can't read are listed by row number rather than silently dropped. For the export steps in Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar, and the import steps on each side, read how to convert ICS to CSV and open it in Excel. To create a single event from scratch, the ICS calendar generator is quicker, and how to create an ICS calendar file explains what goes inside one. If the same spreadsheet also lists people, the CSV to VCF converter turns it into a phone contact file. More on the business tools page.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I convert an ICS file to CSV?
- Upload the .ics file (or paste its text) on the ICS → CSV tab, choose the time zone you want the times shown in, pick a date format and the columns you need, then click Download CSV. Each event becomes one row with its title, start and end date and time, all-day flag, location and description.
- Why are the times in my CSV a few hours off?
- Google Calendar exports timed events in UTC, written with a Z at the end (for example 20261014T110000Z). If a converter copies that time as it is, a 4:00 PM meeting in Pakistan shows up as 11:00. This tool converts every time to the zone you choose, which defaults to your device's time zone, and writes that zone in the Time Zone column. Choose "Keep each time as written in the file" only if you want the raw times.
- How are all-day events and recurring events handled?
- An all-day event is stored in an ICS file with an end date one day after its last day. The CSV shows the real last day, so a one-day holiday on 25 December has 25 December as both start and end date, and the All Day Event column says True. A recurring event becomes one row with its first date, plus a Repeats column in plain English (for example "Weekly on Monday, 10 times") and an RRULE column with the original rule. The individual repeats are not listed as separate rows.
- Will the CSV open correctly in Excel, including Urdu text?
- Yes, with the default settings. The file is saved as UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which is what Excel needs to show Urdu, Arabic and accented letters instead of garbled characters. Dates default to 2026-10-14 style, which Excel reads the same way whatever your regional settings are. If your Excel uses semicolons as the list separator (common in Europe), pick Semicolon as the separator.
- How do I convert a CSV or Excel sheet to an ICS file?
- Open the CSV / Excel → ICS tab and upload a .csv or .xlsx file with one event per row. Columns named like Google Calendar's or Outlook's (Subject, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time, All Day Event, Location, Description) are matched automatically, and you can change the mapping. Choose the date order and the time zone the sheet is written in, then download the .ics. Rows that can't be converted are listed with their row number and the reason.
- Can I import a CSV straight into Google Calendar or Outlook instead?
- Yes. Google Calendar and Outlook both import CSV files directly, so if that's your only goal you don't need an .ics. Convert to .ics when you want to add the events on an iPhone or in Apple Calendar (which don't import CSV), send one file other people can open in any calendar app, or control the time zone so events don't shift.
- What time zone does the .ics use?
- By default, times are read in the zone you pick (your device's zone unless you change it) and written as UTC. Every calendar app then shows each event at the correct moment in its own time zone. If you choose floating local time instead, 4:00 PM stays 4:00 PM on any device, which suits personal reminders but not meetings across time zones.
- Is my calendar uploaded to a server?
- No. The .ics or spreadsheet is read by JavaScript in your browser and the CSV or .ics is created on your device. ToolsWebPro never receives your event titles, locations, attendees or notes.
